Description
An extremely rare Charles II solid oak "Low Dresser" dating from the 17th Century (Circa 1680). Made in London, its high finish would indicate that it was made by one of the Huguenot cabinetmakers brought back from France by Charles II on his return from exile. The geometric moulding is typical of Charles II's reign. It has two panelled drawers with brass handles over turned legs with cross stretchers. It is in excellent condition. It currently stands on a wood frame with castors to make it easier to move. Measurements: Length: 71" (180.34cm) Depth: 19" (48.26cm) Height: 35.5" (90.17cm) This is a very heavy piece. NOTE: Can be picked up from seller or if the buyer arranges commercial pickup the seller with help coordinate it. Offers accepted.
