Description
Scottish grandfather clock, keeping great time, dial in very good condition. Made by Charles Shedden of Perth, handsome case. The corners of the dial are decorated with figures representing Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. Ireland is depicted with a harp and shamrock on her hat. The main picture depicts Mary Queen of Scots escape from Lockleven Castle in May 1568. A popular image on Scottish clocks. 222cm tall 49cm wide 24cm deep
