A superb and characterful Victorian Aesthetic Movement overmantel mirror in dark oak, featuring multiple mirror plates, turned spindle columns, small display shelves, and decorative gold marquetry/painted inlay panels with floral and foliate motifs. The architectural form includes a shaped pediment top section with oval bevelled mirror inserts flanking a central shelf, two full-height side mirrors with accompanying small corbel shelves, and a large central mirror plate. Turned baluster columns and finials throughout are typical of the quality craftsmanship of the period.
