Mid Century Vintage Retro Nathan Sideboard

A beautiful and unusual Nathan sideboard in walnut and beech dating from the 1950’s. This Nathan piece exhibits a very art deco design style of the 1930’s, however, I’m pretty sure it dates from the early/mid 1950’s as the BSI Kitemark Quality Mark (1960) badge on the cupboard door was first introduced in 1953. The Sideboard comes in two sections, the bottom section features two drawers, one with half green baize cutlery area and a generous two door shelved storage cabinet underneath. The top section has an open shelf space either side of a closed small cupboard in the centre. The beech sculptured handles and rounded sides give this piece a very unusual and distinctive retro look. Considering this sideboard is over 65 years old, it is presented is lovely vintage condition commensurate with its age and previous use, it has been cleaned and oiled, so should be good to go for another 65 odd years.
