Description
Very rare Victorian officers campaign chest circa 1880-1888.Marked Captain W.C Hunter 2nd Oxfordshire Lt Inf who were stationed in Kinsale from 1893-1898 and other parts of Munster .This chest would have seen service across the British empire and possibly in 2nd Boer War and WW1.Lined with zinc alloy.Marked with CTS(commissariat and transport corps) dating it from 1880-1888.Has original key.Retains a beautiful patina overall.Real charismatic piece .A true collectors item or would make a fantastic conversation piece as a coffee table. Dimensions are 50 cm high ,55cm wide and 101 cm long.Delivery available
