Achonry Farmers Market (AFM) started in August 2020 and traded successfully until Oct 2024. The market ceased due to factors completely outside our control. AFM was a community led social enterprise and sadly can no longer operate. As a result, we have a number of Trader chalets for sale. 16 single Farmers Market Trader chalets for sale, preferably in one bulk lot. • 11 front hatch chalets with side door entry • 4 barn door chalets (open front chalets with 2 removable front doors) • 1 barn door Chalet with an additional side hatch Key features: • Achonry Farmers Market had experience of traders at our market for circa 8 months before we commenced design and build of our market chalets. • We included traders in our design phase and did extensive research at other markets to agree on an optimal design before the construction stage. • We got advice from a highly experienced carpenter and a structural engineer during the design phase • An initial protype was developed and trialled for a few months. Feedback from the protype was incorporated into a revised design before further construction commenced. • Chalet Length 2.9m • Depth 2m with 0.7m overhang at the front to provide shelter for customers • Base consists of 8 6 X 2 treated timber • Chalet skeleton was created using 3 X 2 timber • Corrugated iron roof • Shiplap timber for exterior • Front hatch chalets have removable table at ideal height for goods display and customer interactions • All chalets were treated with clear varnish on site in Achonry in 2022 • Units were constructed in panels in assembly factory • Panels were transported to site on flat-bed trailer and assembled on site • Chalets were moved when Achonry Farmers Market Closed using long prongs on the front loader of a tractor Price: • We are seeking c €1,500 per unit (cost of materials to create each chalet was €1,250) • We are willing to negotiate discounted rates for bulk purchases • We encourage a site visit to view chalets
