1979 VW Van

"Julie" is an Irish RHD tintop van in very sound condition and runs like a dream. The old brown logbook lists the Model as "Camper" and the Tax Class as "Vintage". You would be only the 5th owner and we've had her for 17 years, 8 of which were in climate controlled storage. Julie recently had roadworthiness works done at Ireland's premier vintage VW Supplier which included: Drain and flush fuel tank and system, new fuel lines fitted New battery and electrical check of all lights Engine service incl. oil change, air filter, air cooling hoses New distributor with vacuum advance new points, plugs and leads New rear brakes, pipes and handbrake cables New front brakes, pipes, discs, calipers New master cylinder and brake light switch New inner and outer front wheel bearings New steering damper, adjusted steering New front shocks New rear shocks Mechanically Julie is in great shape-road ready and safe-and has a very smooth ride quality. Bodywork has had plenty of attention including new rear wheel arches, lower and upper rear corners, driver side valences, driver side front wheel arch, step and well, loading bed, chassis work, slider valence, rear valence, new tailgate, all window surrounds repaired with new metal, new windscreen, seal, and new surrounding metal Remaining work includes passenger wheel arch and step, front grill, driver door, small areas here and there. The paint job is montana spray paint so that new metal work could be blended in until the final paint job once metalwork is finished. Julie comes with a new driver's door (so ignore the blisters in the pics), a spare tailgate, loads of extra parts that I didn't have time to install incl. electronic ignition, any bits removed for resto, plus lots of new metal (load bed, valences, etc) The interior is homebuilt and rustic, but functional.
