2005 Alfa Romeo 156 SW

Alfa Romeo 156 1.8 Sportwagon As I now no longer need a daily driver for the hack to Dublin and back each day it is time to move it on. Specification STD 156 1.8 SW with 210k on clocks, although Pat Byrne replaced the engine at 200k as the original engine had a bit of a thirst for oil. Replacement engine had circa 100k on when fitted so approx. 110k now. Belts and water pump were done at the same time and clutch was checked and found to be nearly new. Quite nice options, Tan Leather, Bose Stereo, Heated Seats (never had them working), Fuel Computer, Rear Parking sensors, working dog guard. 17" Alloys with excellent Kumho Ecsta HA52 tyres (there is a spare set of 15' wheels as well). Previous owner had upgraded the suspension and they have done a great job, it rides superbly supple and compliant with just enough stiffness to keep body roll under control it really is a lovely drive. They also replaced the Air Conditioning compressor but its never been refilled so no idea if it works. Body had a few age related marks, see photos, but nothing too serious and as it was often parked in station car parks I saw no point sorting them out. NCT to May but SORN since end of Jan but I can re-tax if asking price is met.
