2007 VW Golf GT Sport 1.4 TSI (170bhp)

Selling my wifes 2007 Volkswagen Golf Mk5 GT Sport. This is the rare 1.4 Twincharged (Supercharged & Turbocharged) 170bhp model with the 6-speed manual gearbox. ​The car is in relatively good physical condition for its age, both inside and out, but it has recently developed engine issues. It is being sold strictly as a project/repairable. Tax along with insurance has just expired but has NCT until end of October. Few nicks and dings but panels are straight. 4 matching tyres still in good condition. Car has nearly 3/4 tank of petrol (worth about €10k nowadays) ​Symptoms: Slighty lumpy idle and a small metallic tapping noise from the engine. Car isn't smoky at all, and still makes power and pulls fine. Chain sometimes rattles on startup. Needs a timing chain/tensioner replacement (a known job on these EA111 engines). ​Status: Starts and drives for loading purposes. ​Documentation: Full Logbook (VLC) present and ready for transfer. ​Key Features & Specs: ​GT Sport Factory Trim: Sport seats, stiffened suspension, and GT styling. ​Performance: Factory 170bhp / 240Nm torque. ​Interior: Clean cabin, original GT steering wheel and upholstery.
