I recently bought a car from Gerry and couldn't be happier with the whole experience. I traded in my old car as a part exchange, and Gerry was unbelievably honest, helpful, and professional from start to finish. There was never any pressure, just straightforward advice and excellent customer service, which made the whole process easy and stress-free. After buying the car, we happened to mention it to a few neighbours and discovered that several people on our street had bought cars from Gerry over the years. Every single one of them had nothing but positive things to say, and having dealt with him myself, I can completely understand why. I’d give 6 stars if I could. It’s when things go wrong that you really know what someone’s made of. I bought a lovely 2019 Merc estate in March 2026 from Gerry with a one year guarantee. (The guarantee is provided via an insurance policy; ie Gerry doesn’t fix it himself). A few months later the car developed a serious fault with the brake assist system which apparently is a known fault with the make and model. This was covered by the guarantee up to the €2500 limit but I was quoted €6000 to fix it by the insurer’s recommended garage amwhich would mean I’d have to pay €3.5k out of my own pocket. Suitably depressed, I called Gerry to see if he had any ideas. He immediately started thinking of solutions and ended up getting it fixed by a contact of his in a Mercedes main dealer for €4k. Mercedes covered €3k of that as it is a known fault, leaving the remaining €1k covered by insurance. So instead of being €3.5k in the hole I didn’t have to pay anything! He even dropped and collected the car for me and handed it back gleaming and valeted. I can’t think of anything he could have done to make the whole experience better. Superb stuff. Oh and the insurance company (Mapfre/Mawdy) were great to deal with too and paid out promptly and with no fuss.
