BMW 116d SE - Manual

In 2024 I contacted Marc as my mechanic found metal shavings in the oil filter during service. For reference vehicle is a BMW F10 535D n57B engine. Having contacted a number of garages closer to me (Dublin) I got the sense they (Dublin Garages) didn’t want to do an engine rebuilt and most just seemed off for one reason or another. I found Clondrinagh Motor Centre through Google and after a quick call with Marc I was satisfied they were the people for the job. I knew it would be expensive, but what other car could I buy that gave me the same all round experience for the cost of a rebuild. I did not bother Marc and his crew much other than a few updates during the process as I did not want it to be a rushed job (not insinuating CMC would rush a job; just in general). Anyways I got the car back in November 2024 after a number of months. I service it myself every 5-6k since the rebuild. I have put almost 20k MILES on the car since then and have to say a top quality job and the engine is running perfect. I waited a year to write this review as I had no experience with the company and/or an engine rebuild of this complexity but I feel it is important nowadays to promote and positively review a company who did what was asked of them and didn’t take shortcuts. This was not a cheap rebuild but made financial sense to me at the time. I’d like to thank all who worked on my vehicle in 2024 and wish the company all the best in the future and hopefully this review helps someone else in their decision process and I 100% would recommend CM. I have had nothing but positive experiences time after time again at Clondrinagh Motor Centre. I have searched far and wide for a reliable and trustworthy BMW specialist and I have definitely found that with the team at CMC. I am based in Galway myself but work in Limerick. Regardless of where I am, I will always get the car to CMC, even if that means having it recovered there from Galway. From services to faults, I can always rely on them. Thanks to all at CMC.

Just had my car in for an oil service and couldn’t fault the experience. The team were friendly, thorough, and very efficient. Everything was explained clearly and the work was done promptly. I’d happily recommend Clondrinagh Motor Centre.
