With intelligent all-wheel drive, the SEAL U DM-i Design accelerates from 0–100km/h in just 5.9 seconds, while maintaining the smooth, quiet character you'd expect from an electrified powertrain. That gives the SEAL U a very different character from an ordinary family SUV. PLUG-IN HYBRID FLEXIBILITY FOR IRISH DRIVING The Design AWD uses an 18.3kWh BYD Blade Battery and offers up to 70km of WLTP combined pure-electric range. For everyday Irish driving, that means you can plug in at home and use electric power for shorter journeys such as commuting, school runs and local trips, while the petrol engine gives you the freedom to travel much further when required. BYD quotes a combined electric-and-petrol range of up to 870km WLTP for the Design AWD.
