Discovery Sport 2.2 Auto 4x4 NCT 02/27 Taxed

Completely reliable with the 2.2 litre Ford/Peugeot euro5 diesel engine. Land Rover was forced to discontinue this superb engine in late 2015, in order to meet the new euro6 emissions regulations. They introduced the unreliable 2.0 litre ingenium euro6 engine, which gave numerous timing chain problems. This earlier 2.2 litre engine in my Discovery is a trouble-free engine. It does not have a timing chain. The timing belt in mine was changed in 2024, along with water pump and auxiliary belt. The service history is magnificent. In my two years of ownership it has been serviced every 5,000km. Good record from the two previous owners also. Four recent top-of-the-range Pirelli all-season tyres. Recent brakes. Recently passed NCT. Valid to 02/27. Taxed to end 08/26. Beautiful 4x4 to drive, with the reliable ZF 9 speed automatic gearbox. This is the powerful SD4 version, producing 190bhp. Gorgeous bright leather interior. Electric front seat adjustment. Electric tailgate. All the extras - touchscreen, Bluetooth music stream, reverse camera, multiple charging ports, automatic emergency braking, auto dim headlights, keyless entry, terrain response, etc. etc. As a Land Rover enthusiast of many years experience, I searched long and hard for this good 2.2 Discovery Sport two years ago. I had intended to keep it for many years to come, but a good full size Range Rover has just come up, so I’ve decided to change. This exact Discovery Sport shape is still being sold new by Land Rover today, with a price tag of 80,000 euro. To get a 2.2 in this condition now, so well cared for and with such a nice spec, for this price, is an incredibly rare find. It is extremely economical, with the 9 speed gearbox. It has never been off-road in its life, nor has it ever towed a trailer (though it would be a superb tow vehicle for a boat, caravan or trailer). The four wheel drive and the high ground clearance would also make it excellent for snow or other rough terrain. Superb value.
