2009 Mazda 3 1.6 Diesel – Reliable Daily Car Selling my 2009 Mazda 3 1.6 diesel. The car is driving and used regularly. Comfortable, fuel-efficient and reliable as a daily driver. I want to be honest about a couple of things for the next owner: Check Engine light is on. Mechanics advised that the diesel pipes/system may need cleaning due to carbon/diesel build-up. I’ve been regularly adding diesel system cleaner to the fuel tank to help keep the system clean and improve the issue. There is a small electrical drain somewhere in the car, meaning the battery can lose charge when parked for a while. Likely needs electrical diagnostics. Apart from these issues, the car drives well and runs fine. Good option for someone looking for an affordable and economical car, or for somebody who knows cars and doesn’t mind doing a few fixes.
