Mercedes E300 Turbo Diesel OM606!!

A sad and reluctant sale of a now extremely rare 1998 Mercedes E300 TD estate S210 with the bulletproof and legendary OM606 engine. This unbelievably reliable old beast has been my daily workhorse for 9 years and never ever let me down or stuck on the side of the road! I would drive it to Australia and back! Currently with 380k miles the engine still runs amazingly. Gets an oil change every 5k miles, filters every second service. Its had a hard working life with me and never missed a beat. Always got whatever it needed mechanically and never much fuss to get it through its DOE every year. Its down as a 2 seater commercial and stripped out in the rear so €333 yearly tax. I do have full black leather seats for the rear if the new owner wishes to convert it back when it becomes vintage in just 2 years. The body is very rough in appearance, there isn’t one straight panel on it! but the car itself is still extremely solid underneath. Its never had any welding and is an Irish car from new. She wears her battle scars well! Comes with a good spare LH front wing, lights and other parts. Its an absolute beast of a car for towing, especially with the self levelling suspension. Maintains ride height regardless of the weight behind it or in it and is solid as a rock on the road compared to my E320 W211 pulling the same loads. It is a little bouncy on the back when empty. It could probably do with the spheres changing at some stage but doesn’t bother me. Currently needs a wiper motor. Will be getting all new rear brakes calipers disks pads and pins this week before sale. Possibly the only one of these cars left on the road in this country! Most have either rotted away or scrapped due to high tax and mainly for their extremely sought after OM606 engine. I am selling this fantastic car to someone who is going to keep it on the road only, not just to have its engine ripped out. Its ready for a big turbo and pump and turned into the ultimate sleeper!
