Description
Metal sculpture of an old sailing ship, likely modeled after a galleon or caravel — the type of vessel used during the Age of Exploration (15th–17th centuries).its cast from a dark metal, possibly spelter (a zinc alloy commonly used in vintage decor). Base Material: The base and backrest appear to be made of onyx polished with warm amber and cream tones. Onyx was a popular material in decorative pieces from the 1930s–1950s, often used for clocks, lamps, and desk ornaments. The round mirror behind the ship gives depth and reflection, enhancing the sense of motion and sea atmosphere. It also has some chipping and wear, which adds to the patina and confirms its age. Produced mainly in France, Italy, or Spain during the interwar or postwar period (1930s–1950s). 11inch High, 11inch Long , 4.5inch Deep. Postage would be €6. Check out my other ads.
