Provenance: Garrett O’Connor Art Auctions, The Russian Sale (Part II): A Single Owner Collection, Radisson Hotel, Dublin, 26 June 2006 Harvest Time in the Urals, was originally acquired in the former Soviet Union by Mr. Mathews, a London-based Irish businessman collector during numerous business trips during the 1970s, 80s & 90s. Biography of the artist: Tigran Armenaki Tokmadzain was born 1923 in Gumri (previously Leninakan) in Armenia. He studied first at the Terlemezian Art School, graduating in 1945, then the Yerevan Art Academy where he graduated in 1952. He became a Member of the Union of Artists in 1956, and an Honoured Artist in about 1985.
