I have a long standing relationship with Mellotte Motors and always found service to be friendly and helpful.  This time lived up to my previous experience. I couldn't believe that I walked into Mellotte Motors (my first stop) and was offered the exact car I had in mind.  Couldn't ask for better service or a better deal. The car was exceptionally well serviced too.

Back in November 2024 I contacted Melotte motors as my car had failed the NCT. They were very professional. The fact that they wanted to see a copy of the NCT report at the time of booking in my car gave me great reassurance. I was given a courtesy car while mine was in for repair. My car was ready for pick up the very next day, and passed the NCT with flying colours. Altogether a great experience. I highly recommend Mellott motors. I have booked my car for a full service this January 2025.

Not someone that usually leaves reviews but in this case i felt i had no choice. We rang Richard early in the week for a video of a 2016 GTD golf with low miles. We were told the car was immaculate bar the odd stone chip. I told him we have travelled to see a few cars but had no problem giving money for the right car. 22950 for a 2016 gtd i asked specifically for any marks even the smallest to be pointed out as we are into our cars. We travelled 400 miles round trip from kerry to see the golf only to be left disgusted a waste of diesel and time. Always leave exception for the odd mark but there were deep scratches on almost every panel. Destroyed in stonechips for a car with 57k miles. The wing didnt line up and was poorly polished white polish left everywhere. Again i never leave reviews unless i need to. Richard seemed a nice man but in future dont waste peoples time when they ask about a car especially a Gtd id say something if it was a 2012 car for 5k. Pictures to back up after a 6 hour spin.
