At Merlin Car Auctions, we have a long and proud history, dating back over our 40 years in business. A lot has happened in that time! In 1974 Richard Nixon resigned as US President, West Germany won the World Cup and 'Seasons in the Sun' spent seven weeks at number one. It was also the year that the Windsor Car Auctions was founded, and the thriving motor company has gone from strength ever since under the Merlin banner.

Great auction house for cars, most of the cars come friendly reputable places like dealership and finance companies so you'll likely have a history or reports of work done on the car. They also do a inhouse report on the cars also prior to placing it on the auction. Just beware of the fees added on when you're paying and you'll be grand.

Horrible experience & Never again. Faulty ENGINE LIGHT was hidden by Seller/Merlin. I bought a car last week with 91km on the clock, valid NCT and NO ENGINE LIGHT on as seen on the share picture. Before the bid started and thought I was on the save side with all above mentioned buying criterias. Also I made screenshots of Merlin's car adds. But after just 5km of driving the ENGINE LIGHT went on, drove to the closest mechanic and got to know that on 2 cylinders no compression - estimated cost : min 1500€

Never again - I take full responsibility for my actions but definitely would not recommend to buy via Merlin as either Car Dealership / Merlin knew about it and this major information was not shared within the add as seen on shared pictures.

Brought in a car for auction this morning.  It's a top of the range Peugeot 508 allure 151 which cost almost €40,000 new.  This has 146klms on the clock with full service history.  I put a reserve of €7000 on this and when the girl came back she said they thought it was a bit high and were willing to put €3,500 on it.  Needless to say I walked away.  It will be my last visit and I would not recommend to anyone
