Alan Kenny ‘The Vortex’

Alan Kenny’s seminal work, “The Vortex” is a 6ft x 4ft oil on stretched canvass over a wooden frame. It is a dramatic statement piece in any space that will draw attention and start conversations when anyone sees it for the first time. It represents the view from hell, up to the light of the living world above. A spiralling mass of humanity descends into oblivion. Alan Kenny is one of Ireland’s most compelling Irish artists and The Vortex is arguably his most famous piece. I’ve had it on my wall for 20 years and it’s been a fabulous addition to my home. Sadly, redocoration means it’s time for someone else to continue its journey. No time wasters please.
