Large original painting purchased directly from the artist in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2016. Striking and colourful depiction of Rio de Janeiro, featuring the densely packed favela architecture, coastline and Sugarloaf Mountain in the background. The painting has a heavily textured, expressive finish with raised paint throughout, particularly across the buildings and landscape, giving it lots of depth and character. Original artwork – not a print. Signed and dated 2016 by the artist. Presented in a substantial white frame and ready to hang. Size: approx. 130 × 90 cm including frame. Very good condition overall.
