Vintage LYN 20-inch Ride Cymbal | Made in England Genuine vintage LYN ride cymbal, Made in England, with the original maker’s stamp still clearly visible. This cymbal has been in my family and handed down through generations. I wasn’t initially sure of the manufacturer because the stamp is extremely subtle, but on closer inspection the original LYN / Made in England marking is still present. Approximately 20 inches in diameter. Sound-wise, I would describe it as a dark, warm, traditional ride, with much more of an old-school jazz character than a bright modern rock cymbal. It has a naturally aged tone and plenty of character. The cymbal has developed a substantial natural patina over the years, along with the cosmetic marks expected from a genuine vintage instrument. I have deliberately not polished or aggressively cleaned it, as I would prefer to preserve its original appearance and sound. The cymbal appears structurally sound with no obvious cracks visible. The centre hole shows normal age-related wear, as photographed. This is not something I use anymore and I would much rather see it go to a drummer, collector or vintage-cymbal enthusiast who will appreciate it properly.
