Description
Prices of granular chemical fertilisers are coming down slowly. Is this good? Yes.. or is it? Let's see, and you decide for yourself. What do granular fertilisers do, and how much is used by the plant? Will it grow grass? Yes, Will it improve soil quality long term? NO Will it feed microbes and worms? NO ( they kill beneficial microbes, and worms don't like chemicals) Will they build organic matter in the soil? NO ( This is why on a lot of farms every year you need to put on extra fertilisers) Is granular fertilisers good value for money? Uptake is less than 40%. The crop only uses 40% of granular fertilisers. So what happens to the other 60% Some of it evaporates, some chemical nutrients are locked in the soil, and most are washed away into underground streams, wells, drains, rivers & lakes. Is this good? Deffenlty not !!! IMAGINE buying a tonne for € 600, and only 40% is used, SO € 360 of your investment is washed away. WTF, you might say, and I'd agree with you, THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY.. Well, I'm here to tell you there is a better way to reduce the amount or replace the need for chemical fertilisers long term. Ollie Greene has worked with Farmers in Ireland and the UK for ten years. Let's try it on 10/ 20 acres and see for yourself. Give me a call on 086-3805921 for a chat. Phone for more info checks out our website www. betterplants. ie
