Gorgeous plants and pots

Lots of fab new plants just in, including Acer Cappadocian “Aureum”, fine big trees at just €49.95, lovely yellow autumn colour, plus Aesculus Wilsonii, a rare and exotic looking form of Horse Chestnut. Cercis “Merlot” has stunning maroon heart-shaped leaves, Euonymus Europaeus “Red Cascade”, Syringa Persica and Syringa x chinensis “Saugeana”, two lovely variety of lilac, Calycanthus “Hartlage Wine” with his fab maroon flowers, Hydrangea Aspera “Bellevue” with big hairy leaves and stunning flowers. I have Daphne Aurantiaca with tiny yellow flowers and fragrance that would knock you out, and her bigger sister, Daphne Jackqueline Postill. I have loads of my favourite plant in the world, Cotinus “Royal Purple” – every garden should have one! Clerodendrum Bungei “Pink Diamond”, Pinus “Blue Shag”, Cedrus Atlantica “Blue Fountain”, Sambucus “Black Lace”, Euonymus “Mount Fuji” with fab autumn colour, and a host of other brilliant and hard to get trees and shrubs, plus plenty of fab perennials, bedding plants, herbs, and hanging baskets. Pots can also be planted up while you wait. Small 9cm plants from €3, perennials €9 to €12, most shrubs €10 to €20, trees from €20 to €60. I also have a lovely range of pots, from the classy basalt range to the outrageously gorgeous turquoise belly bowls, crock pots, bonsai pots and pedestals. The Poppy Garden is open every Thursday to Saturday, 11am to 4pm. Come and browse the garden, and relax with a coffee and cake (€6ph), or just come on in to the sales area if you’re after pots and plants. (Open at other times by appointment).
