Beautiful mint condition slope shoulder J38 from the renowned small scale UK builder, Atkin. Atkin acoustics are all made by hand in Canterbury by a small team of 7 artisans. The quality speaks for itself in the detailing, sound, projection and finishing. This features a baked sitka top with rosewood back, sides and fingerboard. It features all vintage appointments including their aged nitro finish. A relicd finish in keeping with the vintage style of the instrument. It is fitted with a KnK pure mini pickup. Can send sound samples as required. It's a big, responsive sound with good focus and piano like clarity. Very playable neck. 43 mm. The full scale length with rosewood back and sides makes this a much bigger sounding instrument than the j43 with short scale and mahogany b and s. Collings, Lowden, Martin, Mcilroy I'd be open to trades for good acoustic stuff but only with at least 50% cash.
