Martin 000-1

A gorgeous 1997 Martin 000-1. These were a more budget version of the standard series launched to try put good quality genuine American built Martins in player's hands at a more budget price. The payoff was solid spruce top and solid mahogany back with laminate mahogany sides, arguably less important than a solid back and top and more resistant to temperature and humidity fluctuation. This one is in excellent condition, set up really nicely and benefits from a number of upgrades, notably Waverly butter bean tuners and a Barcus Berry transducer pickup. The slotted bridge aids break angle and makes it a very resonant guitar. Even though it is classed as a 000 it's more like an OM as it has a full scale length. And to be honest it's a nicer guitar to play than much more expensive OMs I've had. Hard case included.
