1997 Rory Gallagher Memorial Concert Poster

A very scarce Tribute to Rory Gallagher poster produced for a concert held in his memory in the Elmwood Hall in Belfast on the 14th June 1997, exactly two years after his death. The memorial concert featured local bands and artistes: Aftertaste, the legendary guitar ace Rab McCullough with his Blues Band, the Houseshakers, Lazy, the renowned Terri Hooley along with Peter Spence and the Travelling Blues Show. Footage of Rory's 1974 Irish Tour was also shown. The poster measures 11.75 inches by 16.5 inches. 29.5 cms. by 142 cms. It was produced in black and white on glossy paper. I obtained the poster about a week in advance of the gig from one of the organizers of the show. Because it was sent to me in a large envelope it was folded over in the centre. The poster remained in the envelope all these years and was never stuck up onto a wall. No corner pinholes or sellotape. Just the slight fold in the middle. I couldn't get to the concert myself so I don't know if John Wilson the drummer from Taste, or any other of Rory's sidekicks were involved with the band Aftertaste.100 euro.
