For sale is an exceptional piece of horological history: a 1940 Omega manual wind, featuring the legendary Calibre 26.5 SOB T2 movement. With a serial number in the 9.5 million range, this watch was produced right at the dawn of WWII. Key Specifications: Movement: Manual wind Cal. 26.5 SOB T2. This movement is famous among collectors for its durability and was a precursor to the 30T2 family. Year: 1939/1940. Dial: Original silver "Sector" dial with a railway minute track and a beautiful sunburst sub-seconds register at 6 o'clock. Hands: Original leaf-style (Feuille) hands. Case: Stainless steel "Calatrava" style case, approx. 31mm–32mm—wearing larger due to the long lugs typical of this era. Condition: Movement: Clean and running. It winds smoothly and holds time well for a watch of this age. Dial/Case: Honest vintage condition with a light, even patina that adds to its character.
