I've dealt with Julian at JP motors now for over 2 years. He is our local mechanic. I found him decent and flexible when servicing both family cars and I also bought one car off him almost 2 years ago under warranty. When any issue arose he fixed it, honored the warranty. He has been very helpful to me since I've known him.

Great mechanic, I needed hard brake lines replaced in a hurry for NCT retest. They squeezed me in and had it done quickly where all other garages in the area said it would be weeks.

Have recommended to others to who have found the prices reasonable and the service quick.

Travelled all the way from Galway with my Dad on the train to buy a car that had 15,000 more kms than what was I told and what was advertised, had a windscreen that wouldn’t pass NCT etc. bald tyres etc. when I raised it with the owner he said it is what it is. I spent over 140 euro on travel to be told it is what it is. This place should be shut down.
Do not waste your time or money.

I would absolutely not recommend buying a car from this garage.  My son bought a car in November from them. There has been issues with the car since he bought it and we have spent the last 3 months trying to get this man to fix the issues. He avoids calls and text messages and he hasn't honoured the 3 month engine and gearbox warranty given to my son when he bought the car. My son is a student and put all his money into buying this car and this man doesn't have the decency to stand by his word and fix the car. The way my son has been treated by this garage is shameful and an absolute disgrace.

Agreed sale on the 26th Jan, was buying BMW 2012 series 5, and swapping my mean time vehicle, Skoda, that I’ve prepared for the trade in. JP, it’s the name of the owner, promised to fix little things before sale so we agreed to meet on Thursday evening. Screens of text attached, the day of a deal was discussed by phone. I’ve ordered new parts for the car that costed me thousands€, already got a new quote for insurance to swap, and the day before sale texted when I’ll be at the garage. So it’s Thursday, I was driving from Youghal to Bandon, spend petrol and time, and guess what happened when I arrived… JP made a face like he forgot to call me, said that his uncle passed away and he only arrived from abroad and his so upset, that the BMW has to go back to a previous owner because of the mysterious circumstances. I was shocked, he told me that he will try to get car but it’s 50/50, and that he will call me on Friday. Nobody called me, obviously, and no respond from text. So now I have no new car, useless parts for the car that I don’t own and has to return, and to addition to that, after bought cartel check, it appears that he just sold it to a new owner… as I presume he just got a straight sale for cash and he didn’t care about the deal. Irresponsible, disgraceful and full of lie. This man couldn’t even tell me the truth in my eyes like a man. I do not recommend this garage if you want to get a secured and proper deal.
