MOTO-GUZZI Other 1980

We are selling our beloved V50. It comes with a host of original factory parts which are not easy to find these days. Engine running very well. Carbs refurbished and throttle cables replaced last summer. New tyres (cotters) last summer. They have done 1000kms max. Can be seen by appointment only as bike stored. Can be seen in city centre. In the mid 70s, Moto Guzzi decided they needed to add a midsize bike to their lineup. The resulting machine, the V50 II, featured a Tonti frame and an all-new 490cc engine with a horizontally-split crankcase. The whole package weighed just 336 pounds as compared to the 475-lb 850 Le Mans. While some detractors preferred more size and horsepower from their Italian machinery, Cycle World called the bike a rare, exotic Italian welterweight, making “one of the nicest sounds ever made by a motorcycle.” I work long hours.
