ACRES-Owl Boxes ***The department of agriculture has only two owl box designs approved for use in the ACRES Scheme, (1 outdoor and 1 indoor design) The pictures above show both designs made to grant spec.*** These boxes are available for collection from Portumna or can be delivered by courier to all counties. Indoor box - 100 euro Outdoor box -160 euro OR 2X @ 300 euro ••Taking orders now•• (Price is very reasonable considering the quality of the box.) My boxes meet ALL the requirements for the ACRES agricultural scheme. Outdoor boxes are made using 12mm Marine plywood. The plywood is painted with durable wood stain paint. 4mm torched on roofing felt is used on the roof to prevent any water entering the box.( NOT thin cloth felt which is nailed) Felt is torched on (roof is fully sealed) Inspection hatch with latch Sloped exercise platform with gaps to allow for water drainage. Plywood is screwed into timber battens inside the box. All joinings are sealed using all-weather sealant.
