www.labotteholidayhome.com The house sleeps 7 (main house) or up to 11 people (with the optional gite add on) and is located in the Charente-Maritime countryside, near the border with Charente. It is about 20 minutes from the town of Cognac, just over half an hour from Angouleme, about an hour and a half from Bordeaux and just over an hour from the coast, with famous coastal places like Royan and Ile-de-Re about 1 hour and 20 minutes away. The house can sleep 7 people and has a large kitchen, a living room with wood burning stove, a snug and a downstairs toilet. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms (one with a king bed , a 2nd with a double bed, and a 3rd with 3 single beds) and a main bathroom with bath, shower and double sink. There is a 4 person gite in the courtyard which can be booked as an add on to the house. It has a bedroom with double bed and a sofa bed in the living area (140x200cm). It is not rented out separately. Outside there is a pool (3x6m, salt, heated). A covered area with a pool table, a large enclosed garden, ideal for playing football, badminton etc. There are views over the surrounding vineyards belonging to the winery 100m away. They have an on-site shop which sells their produce of wines, cognacs and Pineau. A firepit area can be found tucked away in the mature garden with its many lavenders, trees and shrubs. There are outdoor dining options, for example under the olive tree in the courtyard and the dining area beside the pool.
