AT STUD: 15hh Perlino Connemara stallion

Dunbeggan Lightning NN for HWSD 8" bone EE/Aa/CrCr, meaning he is perlino with no grey, and can only sire buckskin or Smokey black foals to solid-coloured mares. Finn has a wonderful temperament stallion, easygoing, intelligent, and with a desire to please which has made him a delight to start and work with day to day,. This is one of the main traits he appears to be passing onto his foals, all of whom have shown to have a sweet disposition and sensible approach to life from the start. He is a very athletic stallion, with a ground-covering walk, big trot and rolling canter, all in a natural uphill balance. Over a fence, he has shown great scope and so far has thrown some very talented jumping 14.2 offspring. Finn is by Lightening Star, who is in his own right a Grade A jumping stallion having competed up to 110cm. Further back is Gwennic de Goariva, who requires little introduction having jumped to GP himself in Europe and is a prolific sire of showjumping ponies. His paternal dam is by Westside Mirah, another stallion not unheard of in the jumping circles. Through his maternal line, he has Oisin, another large producer of showjumping ponies, and Moy Hazey Cove. Overall, Finn has been bred to perform and combines some of the best performance lines in Connemaras. He is producing beautiful offspring suitable for children and adult amateurs alike.
