Russian Tortoise

Hello everyone, this is Lucie. She is two years old, and very friendly. We need to rehome her as we are moving to a cottage and unfortunately cannot give her the space she needs. It is a tough decision as we are big animal lovers, but we will only rehome her with the right family. Please do you research thoroughly on owning a russian tortoise before considering taking her. I am not looking to make money with this as I will give you everything I have for her care, all I want is a family that will practice proper tortoise husbandry. She hibernates during the winter (it's called brumating) and this past winter she actually brumated in a fridge for two months to slow her growth. She did it easily and well. At this time of year she is very active. She needs an outdoor enclosure of some sort to get real sun rays for her shell growth. I have attached a picture of an outdoor enclosure as inspiration although there are many examples out there. Lucie is also a great eater with a good appetite. Currently she is inside the house in a converted book shelf that measures 6x2 feet. Ideally an indoor enclosure should be 8x4 feet for a russian tortoise. She has the best UV bar bulb which I just bought (UV bulbs should be replaced every 6-10months). UV bulbs help their shell absorb calcium properly for good growth. She also has a heating basking bulb that is brand new. For bedding I use a natural reptile soil mixed with calcium sand (although she loves to hide in hay). You can have everything I have if you can give her a good home.
