Northfield F5S

Northfield F5S mandolin I am very reluctantly selling my Northfield Mandolin. Adirondack Spruce top with figured maple back and sides. This is a fantastic instrument- very hard to get hold of in Europe. I won’t go into the sound and quality of the build and all of the spec because, to be perfectly honest, if you want an instrument of this calibre, you’ll do the research without paying much attention to me. Check out Moloney Music which is where I got this from. Kieran Moloney is an absolute gentleman and he will tell you it straight. This is a beautiful, very high quality instrument. These are €4250 new if bought in Ireland. USA dealers will not export them to private customers (they are slightly cheaper there because they are distributed there). Made from American woods and assembled in the Qingdao Workshop in China by Northfield trained luthiers then returned to Michigan for set up - see last photo). This one is 18 months old and has never been gigged. A few very tiny marks that you would struggle to notice. €100 armrest included and €50 braided leather strap also. Comes with Airloom case, and if I’m not mistaken, a fairly hefty warranty from Northfield. This is going up on Mandolin Cafe, Donedeal,and possibly reverb and eBay if they don’t try to stiff me. Come and play it - have a look at it. No pressure. All I can say is I had a top end Eastman before this and when I played them side by side they were night and day. And the Eastman was a terrific mando too! I have not met or had a transaction with another user of Aderts.ie that has not been pleasurable and mutually beneficial. I think the musicians on this site are united in their love of music and sharing their enthusiasm for the music they play and the instruments and equipment they use.
