Lathe

Very nice Perris clockmakers, Instrument and model makers lathe Previously owned by a watchmaker in the UK, who hardly used it. These lathes are the for runner of Cowells. They are identical so Cowells parts fit. The lathe has a brand new headstock spindle fitted in order to take M14x1 threaded chucks. The drive has been upgraded with a 550w variable speed servo motor and controller. Inadition to the compound slide, a replacement riser block has been made so the lathe can be configured with or without the compound. The block has been ground and hardened. There are 4 machined toolposts that will take 2 tools each and 1 blank. The bed is bolted to a steel block that has been ground and lapped The lathe and motor are mounted on a wooden board. Comes with an excellent 50mm 3 jaw chuck, tailstock drill chuck and live centre.
