Vintage Record No. 06 Fore Plane

This is a beautiful Vintage Record No. 06 Fore Plane in good condition. The body is clean and the sole is flat and square with just one cosmetic spot on the sole. The iron is Best Crucible Cast Tungsten Steel and is sharp, set ready to go to work. This Record No. 06 Fore Plane dates back to the WWII period between 1939-1945. As seen on the lateral lever stamped (War Finish) this term is on Record hand planes, specifically the No. 6 plane and refers to a change in the lever cap's finish during World War II due to nickel restrictions.
