1983 Yamaha XV500 Bobber

Running Project; Selling my 1983 Yamaha XV500. The XV500 was the precursor to the Popular XV535 Virago. This bike was a nuts and bolts rebuild a couple of years ago but it’s been sitting under a cover in the shed since. Positives: 8625mi from new in 1983! Eligible for Vintage Tax & Insurance Starts and Runs. Sounds Great. Tyres are good. Fuse board has been upgraded to take modern bladed fuses. LED headlight and tail lights. Fully rebuilt 2 years ago. Shaft driven (shaft has been greased and is perfect) Negatives; Battery needs replacing. (Can jump it to show it running etc.) Carbs need bigger jets (it’s straight piped so the back pressure is off) will run with the choke on a little. (I have some spare jets there which may work) Needs new clutch cable or cable / spring adjustment. (Difficult to shift) Clutch itself is fine though. Bit of surface rust on parts from sitting. All cosmetic though. Bike was completely stripped when rebuilt 2 years ago. Currently a soft tail on original monoshock. Shock could be welded to make it a true bobber. Will need to be trailered / vanned Can deliver locally if needed (Meath/Kildare/Dublin/Westmeath) No lowballs or haggling on price. It will have to be VERY near asking
