Yamaha YAS-1 Original Barn Find Running 1968

HERE IS A VERY RARE FIND ESPECIALLY IN THIS ORIGINAL STATE A YAMAHA YAS-1 BELIEVED TO BE 1968 WHICH HAS RECENTLY COME FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTION AFTER THE OWNER HAD PAST AWAY. The bike is Totally Original and standard with Matching Numbers and is in Great condition especially the Chrome work which would cost you approximately £2500 and customs charges to the UK if you were to have them re chromed. The bike was been Dry stored for many years and has only 20000 kilometres/12000 miles. The carbs were cleaned ,fresh fuel and a New Battery and it fired up on second kick and is running sweetly and selecting gears and driving BUT IT WILL NEED A GOOD MECHANICAL CHECK OVER AND SERVICE BEFORE USE AGAIN. The bike is a Blank canvas for the New owner to bring it to whatever level they wish The paint work on the tank is showing its age but it is spotlessly clean on the inside. I have the metal covers for the front springs which again need to be painted before re fitting. Remarkably the Made in Japan sticker still remains on the engine casing after 57 years. As stated it has come from a Deceased estate in Europe so the paperwork was not available but with a Dating letter from a Vintage Club or the VJMC you can register the bike here FREE of charge as it is Vintage over 30 years.If this does not fit with you then you will need to wait for the next one to turn up in the future but these are Now as Rare as Hens Teeth.
