It was based on the Volkswagen Beetle chassis and features a fiberglass body designed to look like a dune buggy. It was powered by a 1.6 litre, air-cooled, four-cylinder engine that produced 60 horsepower and 80 lb-ft of torque and had a four-speed manual transmission. The front suspension consisted of a torsion bar setup with trailing arms, while the rear used swing axles with spring plates and had four-wheel drum brakes. This great example was painted with an epoxy basecoat primer and finished in Pearl blue which is unblemished and presents beautifully and clear lacquer, it is fitted to a fully restored 1972 chassis blasted, painted and fully Waxed. Using swing arm rear suspension, muscle car wide wheels and has drum brakes all round. All new suspension fully rebuilt, blasted and painted with all new German components and new wiring loom. Fully rebuilt steering system, including all joints and dampers with removable wheel. The gearbox was rebuilt, all linkages, new wheel bearings and rebuilt hubs all round. A standard cable operated speedo was fitted. This fabulous Buggy was built to replicate the very earliest buggies in terms of simplicity. With its open-air design, with no roof or doors and also featuring two bucket seats and a small dashboard. There is a vinyl roof for those brave enough to take her out on a cloudy day. It is fun to drive and perfect for cruising along the beach or on country roads. Its unique design and simple mechanicals make it a fun and affordable classic car to own and drive. Fantastic!
