Mercedes-Benz W123 230CE Coupe Classic Elegance Up for sale is my cherished 1985 Mercedes W123 230CE Coupe – a true classic that’s now celebrating its 40th year. I’m only selling due to lack of use, and I’d love to see it go to someone who’ll enjoy and appreciate it as much as I have. This coupe is in great shape for its age. It had a respray some years back (before my ownership), and still presents well. There are a few age-related imperfections—small paint blemishes and light rust in places—but nothing major or structural. It’s a very solid base for someone who wants a usable classic that’s only going to rise in value. It’s currently sitting on newer-style Mercedes alloys, but included in the sale is a full set of original “Mexican Hat” wheels. These have already been sandblasted and primed, so they’re just waiting for paint. The red interior is a real highlight—clean, classic, and in good condition overall. There’s the usual wear on the driver’s bolster, but otherwise the seats and carpets have stood the test of time well. It also comes with a custom set of grey fitted overmats. Mechanically, it’s powered by the legendary 2.3-litre engine, known for its reliability and smooth performance. With just a bit of light fettling, this car could be taken to the next level or simply enjoyed as-is. A solid example of a fast-appreciating Mercedes classic. Ready for summer drives or weekend shows.
