I was in for a repair to my 2022 Fabia bought from Al Hayes over a year ago. The driver side front window had got stuck. Same issue had arisen earlier on both front windows of my wife’s 2018 model. My car was out of warranty. But I felt our experience indicated a generic issue with the model.  Al Hayes showed their customer sensitivity in not charging me for my repair. I will continue happily to do business with them. Straight people as well as professional.

Really impressed with Annesley Williams! I'd been searching for a used Superb Combi Sportline and spotted one at AW. Sent over an enquiry with a part exchange quote for my 10-year-old Octavia Combi, and got details on the car right away, plus a call from Shean shortly after.

I've been a service customer here for a few years, and I decided when it was time to change my car that I would also buy from them, because then I would get to continue dealing with that service department. So myself and my husband came in on a Saturday to speak to Jack about what we wanted. Two weeks later we drove off the lot in a 241 Mercedes that is perfect for our needs, having got a good trade-in on our Skoda. The sales experience was just like the service experience: friendly, polite, honest, and unpatronising. Very happy with our new car, very happy that I'll still be using the service department here.

I recently bought a car from Ballybrittas Motors and I’m absolutely delighted with the whole experience. Barry,, was brilliant to deal with. The after-sales service has also been excellent, and any questions I had were answered straight away.

I recently traded in my car for a newer model at Ballybrittas Motors. Lyndsey Keogh was absolutely brilliant throughout. I felt that I was offered a fair price for the newer car, and a fair trade-in price for my own car. I'm delighted with my experience here, and after the sale when I discovered that the rear headrests were actually missing from the car, Lyndsey was very quick to replace them for me. Great customer service!

Avoid at all cost! The dealer principal, is by far the most rude and ignorant man I've ever encountered in the motor trade. I purchased a used Skoda with a warranty from Ballybrittas Motors. In my 3 month ownership ordeal, I loved the car but my issues lie solely with the dealer's handling of the situation.

I placed a deposit on the car needing NCT before handover. 8 days later, I reg checked the car and could see that it passed NCT. I was told the car was still not ready and I had to tell them I knew it had passed the NCT. They refused to tell me when the car would be ready because it needed to be cleaned. I had to demand that I would collect the car the following day and suddenly the car was ready for me.

Within 2 weeks it became apparent that the engine had an internal coolant leak as the coolant reservoir would need to be refilled multiple times a week with no visible leak.

The timing belt and water pump were replaced (due to noise on cold starts) but the car continued using coolant at the same rate.

When I phoned again, I was put on hold for an hour before, the service advisor, told me that I was NOT to open the coolant reservoir and I was NOT to top up the coolant until they could look at the car a couple of weeks later. This was eventually corrected by the dealer principal in a follow up call when I asked him if he wanted me to overheat the engine by driving it without coolant.

On my next visit, the dealer principal marched me outside the entrance of the dealership where my car had been parked where a technician met the dealer principal and I. The dealer principal then tried to convince me that there was nothing wrong with the car despite me having put 5L of coolant into the car up to that point. They took the car back into the workshop and told me they replaced the coolant reservoir.

Again, the issue persisted and I called after a week to report it again. I received a callback from a woman and was told that Ballybrittas Motors was refusing to carry out any further work on my car and I was being offered a full refund. I asked if they investigated the EGR cooler and was told "what does that have to do with it".

I was told that the dealer principal was not willing to speak to me any further and to take the refund or keep the car with the issue.

Having owned the car for 3 months, I returned it to Ballybrittas where I was asked to wait in the showroom looking directly into the dealer principal's office. After watching him sit in his office for an hour, he walked over to the receptionist and handed her a signed cheque and asked her to make it out to me.

Approximately 2 months later, the car was re-listed on the website with a €3000 higher asking price than when I purchased and 2000km more since I returned it.

Ultimately I believe that the dealer's decision to refuse repairing the car was because he saw an opportunity for more profit by taking back the car, repairing it and selling it for a higher price.

Got my V40 from the garage over the summer. Travelled from Waterford, Staff have been a pleasure to deal with particularly Ben who looked after me through the whole process & had no issues answering any questions (and the Dad's EV questions as well). Picked up the car a few days later with a full tank of diesel, something I didn't expect but was very happy it.

I have never dealt with this company before (bought a car or got a car serviced off them), but I had to bring my car to a Peugeot dealership to fix a part. From start to finish ( before, during and after) the service was great. The women I dealt with were kind, courteous and helpful and made me feel at ease. The mechanics were quicker than expected and even power washed my car. It is probably the best customer experience I've ever had with a car dealership.

Bought an Skoda EV from this garage. Worst decision I ever made. Will only operate at 50% of what its supposed to. Have had quite a few conversations about it with them and SKODA Ireland but the attitude is sorry the car is operating within specification. Car is supposed to charge at 135Kw (or there abouts) it will only at 60 - 75 ish. Nightmare scearnio for any long range driver. Feeling very disappointed that the garage and skoda Ireland have simply turned their backs on me despite the very poor performance of their vehicle.

I bought a second-hand Toyota Avensis from Donohoe Skoda and had a great experience dealing with Austin. He handled the sale with total professionalism.

While the car eventually developed an engine light issue, the team’s perseverance is commendable. They worked on the dashboard error multiple times until it was completely resolved, and I was provided with a courtesy vehicle whenever needed.

Two years later, the car is still running perfectly without a single problem. I’m giving them 5 stars because even though issues arose, they stood by their word and made sure everything was fixed properly. Huge thanks to Austin for the excellent service!

I had a great experience at Doran Motors when getting my car serviced. The cost and length of service was communicated up front. I received a video by email of the car being checked and while waiting the email had outlined what passed and what needed to be done and if I wanted to proceed then and there with the work to be carried out. I received a phone call after to check if everything was good with the car also.

The customer service here was 100% excellent and I would recommend them highly.

I would strongly advise against using this garage for diagnostic work. Their after-sales customer service is extremely poor. Despite multiple calls over several months requesting to speak with a manager, I was repeatedly fobbed off with promises of return calls that never materialised.

I paid over €300 for extensive diagnostics on a heating issue, yet the problem was not correctly identified. I was told it was potentially a BCU fault and that further diagnostics would be required. I then brought the car to another mechanic who immediately identified the issue as a faulty fan control module — a part that had already been checked during Dorans’ diagnostics. Once replaced, the heating issue was fully resolved.

This experience reflects a lack of accountability, ineffective diagnostics, and very poor customer follow-up.

I should have posted this a few years back, but better late than never. I was back from Canada and had a car rental and was travelling from West Limerick to Cork via Banteer. Going on to Nad, the car started giving me issues, I recalled I had passed a garage and I basically had to free wheel back to Banteer and pulled into the Garage. Even though they were busy, Front desk said they'd have a quick look, mechanic had a look and fixed the piston related problem and basically said, happy holidays and sent me on my way. A good deed done. They've got my thumbs up no doubt.
