I recently purchased my first car from Cartwright, and I'm thrilled with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the Ross & Gio was attentive and patient, answering all my questions without any pressure. I purchased a Hyundai I20 which was in excellent condition. Fantastic customer service! In all our years and through all our cars, probably the easiest and smoothest car purchase we have ever made. Gio was a total pleasure to deal with throughout the whole process. We had purchased the car online, and then drove from Waterford to Tralee to collect it without seeing it in the flesh or driving it, but I need not have worried in the slightest. Absolutely delighted with it, it was even better in real life! Gio is an utter gentleman, a pleasure to deal with, and spoke to us both equally (which not all car sales people do!) and I would not hesitate to buy from them again, even though I am planning on keeping this car for a while ☺️

I called Ross when I seen they had a 2005 Mitsubishi shogun for sale on Donedeal, claimed to be in immaculate condition with 115k miles at a reasonable price, which is a hard find so I ended up putting a small deposit down to secure it after he told me €4.5k went into chassis work. After multiple delays getting the DOE done it was finally ready and I drove down from Dublin which is a 4hr drive one way, I get down there and Ross tries to get me to sign the contract there and then before seeing the vehicle which was a big red flag, I said I wanna see the vehicle first and he gave me the keys and left me to it.
Straight away you can see its not immaculate condition, driver side door was out of alignment so you had to slam it to close it, panel on exterior of that door was hanging also, rear view mirror was flopping around so much that it was completely useless to try and use, it was at 120k miles instead of the 115k advertised, he claimed €4.5k was spent on the chassis but as soon as I look underneath its nothing but rust & bad corrosion around the majority of nuts down there, all that aside I still took it for a test drive to see how it feels. I pull out of the centre and try get up to speed and its struggling, I keep giving it more gas and I have it bottomed out and the vehicle still wasn't pulling like it should, not only does it not have power but after a while the steering wheel starts shaking too, I was done with it at this point so I take it back to the centre. I walk in and he asks how was it and I told him Im not happy and started listing of some of the issues, he cuts me off and says "its in immaculate condition for a 20 year old Jeep", I was angry at this point because he's tryna argue the definition of a word he clearly doesn't understand (just an FYI for the future, something is either immaculate or its not, no inbetween). At this point I tell him I want my deposit back which he gave back straight away in all fairness, but I think the only reason he did that was he knew he had no leg to stand on if he tried to keep the deposit. Anyways my advice for people, BUY ELSEWHERE!
