I received a beautiful Hyundai Tucson today from Hill Autos. I seen the car online and contacted them. I dealt with Ray the whole time and found him to be extremely helpful and great to deal with. When I travelled from Cork up to veiw the car I found their business to be highly professional and very well set up. I’m very disappointed with my experience at Hill Auto. After purchasing a car from them, I later discovered that it had previously been classified as a Category D write-off—something I was not informed about at the time of sale. I paid a significant amount of money for the vehicle believing it had a clean history.
I expected transparency and honesty when buying a car, especially from a dealership, but that wasn’t my experience here. Finding out about the write-off status afterward left me feeling misled and frustrated.
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering buying a car from this garage carry out their own independent checks and proceed with caution.
