We recently bought a car from here and had the pleasure of dealing with Ger from start to finish. Once he had spoken to us and what we were looking for he showed us the perfect option for us and any questions or concerns we had, Ger was very informative and helpful. We hadn’t driven an electric car before but after speaking with Ger we were alot more confident on the matter. From the start to us collecting our new car the experience was seamless. I would highly recommend this dealership to friends and family

I recently changed my Cupra Formentor 2ltr diesel to a new Cupra Formentor hybrid and from the start Ger was a pleasure to deal with and gave me several options to contemplate and never put me under pressure to make a decision, I must say in all my years of dealing with different dealerships James Barry Motors in limerick are Excellent at what they do and the service is always made to be personal, which is one of the key aspects I chose to get my second Cupra Formentor from them. Thanks a million to Ger , Paul and all the team for making my second purchase a walk in the park as they say. I could not recommend James Barry Motors enough, if you want the best go and talk to the best.
Thanks guys. 👍

Updated review after receiving reply and discussing with the dealership:

The staff in there are helpful and kind. There was an instance where we didn’t see eye to eye, which isn’t always possible. There was an instance as well when the service charge, due to an expired plan, wasn’t mentioned apart from it being on a book in sheet that I didn’t read but rather just signed (that’s my mistake not their’s). Other than that, in majority it was all great. I would recommend the dealership and the team as they are lovely people; my not so good experience is perhaps due to car manufacturer choice.

Thank you to the team for reaching out and clarifying some points!

Absolutely shocking customer service experience. I sent an inquiry about a car a week ago today and I haven’t received a single phone call from any sales person about the car. I rang the garage three times over the past week and got the same excuse each time, “he’s busy” while I was told that I would get a call back. What makes it worse, I got a text message from the sales man the morning after making the inquiry wondering what time would suit best to give me a call which I replied to with the best time that suited me! It doesn’t take much to pick up the phone and call a potential customer. “Customer Satisfaction Comes Standard” a quote from their website. The standard that this garage has set is well short of that and if you want a smooth experience from start to finish, I wouldn’t recommend this dealership as I didn’t even get it from the start.

Unacceptable customer service skills.

I arrive at the dealership and talk to this young fella (didn’t introduce himself) with glasses and facial hair. He was nice and professional until we were pointing out things wrong with the car. Excuses were health check was done on the car, the car is 12 years old, it’s a trade in?? It doesn’t matter if it’s a trade in or not it’s embarrassing to sell a car with rust and stone chips all over the bonnet, a corroded coolant pipe, black smoke coming out the engine cap aswell as the dipstick at such an expensive looking dealership. He didn’t know what he was talking about. No other options offered and the lack of care was just awful. When told what we really thought about the car that’s when things got ugly and we felt extremely unwelcome.

Extremely rude staff, highly unprofessional and would never ever come back. Spend your money elsewhere don’t bother coming to a place that doesn’t even know what they’re talking about.
