We recently bought a second-hand Renault Clio for our daughter from Sean at Bluegate Car Store and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The team were extremely professional, helpful, and honest from start to finish.

The car arrived in pristine condition — absolutely spotless and exactly as described. It’s in excellent condition and drives perfectly. You can really tell they take pride in the quality of the cars they sell and in their customer service.

We would highly recommend Bluegate Car Store to anyone looking for a reliable used car and a smooth, stress-free buying experience. Thank you again Sean 😃😃

Lionel looked after us so well. From the first contact to even after the car was sold he could not have been nicer. Ever question answered. Ever reasonable request granted. We are so happy with our purchase and the service provided. After driving away on a Friday evening in a second hand 2 year old MG4 the rear left side tyre burst. I had left the garage at 1645 and called Lionel at 1730 on FRIDAY! He organised the tyre repair, no questions asked. Fantastic service. Highly recommend buying from here and many thanks to Lionel for making the experience a happy and memorable one. After the above service I have no worries about future car care.

had an excellent experience with Bluegate Car Store when buying my E Class Mercedes. Stephen in Service was extremely helpful and kept me well informed throughout. Ionel in Sales followed up with great support for the car and returned it to me polished inside and out. A true gentleman and very professional. I really felt looked after by the whole team and would happily recommend them.”

I recently purchased my gorgeous 2017 VW Golf from Markel at Bluegate Car Store, and he was just fantastic. He was helpful, happy for me to go away and think about the car before committing and flexible with me coming in nearly at the end of their work day for both test drives! I traded my old car in, and he made that a completely smooth process as well.

The car didn't come with sensors so they sent their mechanic out to me at home to get them fitted, which was so helpful and saved me trying to fit going to the car store around my working hours. He was also so professional and did a great job in just a few hours!

I am in love with my car - it was washed, clean and ready for me on the forecourt when I arrived to collect it, which made it feel very special! Thanks Markel :)

Bought a 192 VW Tiguan from them last year with hidden issues. So called experts (sales manager Ken called them like that) could not identify the issue, had to bring them for a spin to show them. Sales manager Ken not professional at all snd rude when spoke to him. When collected the car it didn't even had ad blue in it. I'll never buy from them again. Not professional at all.

Bought my first new car in 15 years here recently, Lochlan did the deal and handled everything from finance to the coffee for us. He just needs to put his phone down a bit longer between all videos he's doing for social media and he might sell a few more cars 🤣🤣🤣. Just kidding of course.

Mine arrived and I couldn't be happier. Mind you a seagull had a good auld go at it just before I collected it. Lochlan was out like a flash putting Cilit bang to shame with his sleeve fair play !! The little gifts left in the car were greatly appreciated. Clearly not the first time he had to deal with crap like that 🤣.

Great bunch of lads at Linders, another happy motorist out the door !!!

Thanks again.

Initially, I tried to buy the MG ZS Hybrid+ from the dealer closest to my address (Frank Keane MG). However, it was a very disappointing experience. The car wasn’t available for a test drive at the time of my agreed appointment, the trade-in value offered was ridiculous, and the junior salesperson didn’t seem very competent.
I then sent an email to Linders and received a reasonable trade-in value. It wasn’t perfect, but it was good enough. Lochlan was very competent, knew what he was selling, and was extremely helpful. The best thing about dealing with him was that, when I had some doubts about the car I had already ordered, he did more than I expected to address them. He fully convinced me that I had made a good choice.
I really appreciate this, and if their service department is as good as their sales department, I believe this would be the perfect dealership.

I helped my sister in law purchase a Renault Karjar 2019 model all seemed fine on the day the deal was done. Then there was a couple of issues witch where resolved after a couple of weeks meaning the car was damaged while it was getting prepared for her. So we picked up the car everything was fine until 2 weeks later she was driving it down the country with 2 of her friends on board when suddenly it burst into flames they were lucky to escape. We went back to the sales manager and basically he didn't want to know he said you'll have to claim the insurance even though the car was under warranty the way she's been treated is DISGUSTING. I wouldn't by air for my tyres off this shower stay well away if you value your hard earned money. I don't even want to 1 star but I have to to send the post.

I purchased my MG ZS in September/25 with high expectations. Unfortunately, by mid-December, the car had to be taken in for a gearbox repair, and I didn’t get it back for almost four months due to parts availability.

While delays can happen, what disappointed me most was the after-sales service. Communication was poor, I constantly had to chase for updates, and I rarely received proactive information about the progress of the repair.

To make matters worse, after the gearbox was replaced, the car was returned to me with the battery cables left loose. This caused additional problems on two separate occasions. I contacted the dealership by email regarding this issue, but my emails have never been answered.

The vehicle itself is good, but my experience with the parts supply and customer service has been extremely disappointing. For a nearly new car under warranty, I expected a much higher standard of support. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously affected my confidence in both the dealership and the MG brand.

We accidentally scraped a car while pulling into a parking space, causing only minor damage. Before involving insurance, we asked the other party to obtain a repair quote, as the damage appeared too minimal to warrant a claim. The garage they used, Linders, quoted €1,412.66 for the repairs.

However, upon reviewing the quote, I noticed several items that were unnecessary for the level of damage sustained. To ensure fairness, I consulted a trusted mechanic and reached out to two additional garages. Both offered to complete the same repairs for €450 — nearly €1,000 less than the quote from Linders.

It was clear from the comparison that Linders was trying to rip us off by inflating the cost of the repairs well beyond what was reasonable. Based on this experience, I would advise caution when dealing with Linders. If you receive a quote from them, I strongly recommend comparing it with other reputable garages to ensure you’re getting a fair and accurate price.
