I recently purchased a Volvo XC40 Recharge from Connolly’s Volvo Galway and am absolutely delighted with the car and, ultimately, with the experience of buying it from them.

I dealt with several members of the team and would particularly like to mention Dolores, who was exceptional. I had quite a few questions as the purchase progressed, particularly around the documentation, warranty and arrangements for handover. Dolores was incredibly helpful, responsive and patient throughout. What I particularly appreciated was the way she took ownership of things – she was on top of the details, followed matters through and made sure I had the information I needed rather than simply passing questions on. She was also consistently pleasant and straightforward to deal with. I really appreciated the amount of work she put in behind the scenes to make sure everything was properly organised for me.

I also had an excellent handover with Ciara. She was friendly, personable, honest and very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and took the time to help me set up the car and infotainment system properly. Nothing felt rushed and she made the collection itself a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I drove away not only delighted with the car, but feeling very well looked after.

I should also mention Gavin, who was very helpful when an unexpected issue meant the original handover could not proceed as planned. He quickly came up with an excellent practical solution which kept me mobile until my car was ready.

The car itself was presented beautifully and absolutely spotless, with real attention having been given to its preparation. All of the documentation I had requested was also available at handover.

Buying a car is a substantial purchase and I probably ask more questions than most! What mattered to me was that when questions or unexpected issues arose, the team took them seriously, dealt with them and made sure everything was right in the end. That gave me a great deal of confidence in the purchase.

Most importantly, I absolutely love the XC40. I am delighted with the car and very happy to recommend Connolly’s Volvo Galway. Particular thanks to Dolores for all her work throughout the process, to Ciara for such an excellent handover, and to Gavin for his help along the way.

I had an issue with my trunk opening after buying the second hand S90 from independent dealer, but I called in to these guys without booking in an appointment, but they took me in anyway in about half an hour and fixed the issue in 5 minutes and didn't even charged me for the service, I sincerely recommend them to all Volvo owners. And I appreciate the great service.

Ray is an absolute gent and a very intelligent guy. Very smooth and quick process. He had an answer for all of my questions

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Ray Walsh went above and beyond to make sure I got the right car and a great deal. He’s honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about his customers. Five stars all the way.

Megan was a total pro from start to finish. No gimmicks, no pressure—just honest help and great service. She listened to what I needed and found the perfect fit. Couldn’t be happier!

Alan is an absolute gent to deal with and cannot recommend him enough. He made the entire process of buying a car so easy, and as a first time buyer, explained the process and had full confidence in his expertise and advise

Our son who have started his apprenticeship was looking around to update his car .we seen the seat leon in kennys galway and rang about it .was speaking to franny and drove from wexford one Saturday morning to check it out. The car was in top condition but on reserve for fuel. We bought the car and went for to collect it a week later franny had put it through the workshop and fully valeted. It was immaculate and was more than half full of fuel . More than enough to get us back to wexford. He is absolutely delighted with his new car.thank you very much franny. Thank you kennys of galway.

Purchased a used car today for my daughter and have to say that from receptionist to salesman Gavin couldnt ask or expect better service. Even though wasn't a premium vehicle Gavin went through the whole transaction professionally and thoroughly as though it was a new car. Can't wait to pick it up after service and valet.
Many thanks.

I generally would have nothing to do with this garage as I've heard horror stories. Did contact them recently regarding camshaft chain check and they had no availability for 6 months. This was following on from letter issued by Peugeot. Person I was dealing with in services department in kennys was rude and clearly had no interest in undertaking this check. A a friend of mind who had the misfortune of purchasing vehicle from this place said "Kennys are a disgrace to Galway and to Peugeot". After my brief dealings with said establishment, I concur.

0/10. Worst service. I waited 3 weeks for a diagnostic test. I arranged with the service manager Senan to leave my car parked out in the morning. I rang to advise them that the car was left outside (which I have the call logs to prove), only to be told that the girl at the front desk never passed on the message and my car had been sitting there all day. And did I get an apology? No. The service manager said he's "not gonna be playin the blame game here." He then said to drop the car in again in the morning and he might be able to fit me in like he was doing me a favor no consideration to prioritise my car.

by 330pm I just took it away, but not before listening to complete lies about how their diagnostic scanners didn't work and they tried two different models. claiming that there must be a issue with my connector.
Guess what? It worked perfectly in a different garage, and that's where you should go—to a different garage, seeing that their tools don't work in Peugeot Galway.

Great service from Lyons Galway and Robert. Needed a battery change and they did it straight away with no delay. They really went out of their way to accommodate me at very short notice.

Sonya was very efficient and provided excellent customer service. She responded promptly and looked after everything from start to finish. I was in and out the same day. I would definitely recommend Lyons of Galway.

My vehicle needed a Land Rover specialist. Lyons allowed me to drop it out of hours, resolved the issue the next morning and I was able to collect out of hours after work. They were polite and helpful at all times. 5*

Work was done on my Jag as agreed on the estimate and I got the car back same day as agreed beforehand.
I am using them for 6 years now and have not had problems. Can't comment on the mechanical side, as I am not a mechanic, but car always works for what was fixed afterwards. I never paid more than what was agreed in advance. So, all good.

This is really a very good workshop. The system works, reception is excellent. The work was done on time with a very pleasant reduced labour cost than that quoted

My only niggle is that I showed an interest in a 2023 Range Rover HSE in the showroom. Despite my standing right beside him, despite me expressing an interest, he demonstrated no intention of helping me. Perhaps I just missed the dozens of customers who insist on buying from you. It costs nothing to follow up a potential customer

That's why you got 4 4 star review rather than the 5 you deserve
