Frank Hogans Limerick is one of Irelands leading authourised Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Skoda and Mercedes-Benz dealerships for cars and light commercials.

Established since 1973 we are situated on the main Dublin Road on the outskirts of Limerick city.

We would be delighted to arrange a test drive in any of our new or preowned vehicles.

I bought my first new car in Frank hogans last week. We dealt with Evan and from the minute we walked into the showroom last January we knew we were going to purchase. He was so welcoming and helpful and was always a text or call away if I had any questions. He always kept me updated on the status of the car. Thanks for everything Evan we really appreciate it. Would highly recommend 🙂

This is the third Skoda I bought from Frank Hogan’s. The sales experience with Cormac is second to none. I’m always very happy with the deal I get and you just feel like you’re in good hands. It’s the best sales experience hands down.

Then there is Fiona in finance. Just like Cormac, Fiona really makes you feel looked after. Great experience and top class service.

I recently purchased a new Skoda Enyaq from Frank Hogan's and I've nothing but good things to say. This was my first time stepping over into the world of EV and my experience couldn't have been easier. I've dealt with Cormac before so I knew the transition to EV from diesel would be smooth. Cormac is a top class guy, who answered all my queries and really went out of his way to accommodate me after I finished work. I love the new motor. Don't hesitate, go to Frank Hogan today and look for Cormac who will sort you out with your new Skoda!!

Collected my brand new Skoda from Frank Hogan’s today and was seriously impressed by salesman, Conor O’ Brien. Very professional and personable man. Having previously bought my last two Skodas from other dealers, I will definitely be back to Conor at Frank Hogan’s. Great communication, expert advice and professional at all times. I have no hesitation in recommending Conor and the lads, amazing to deal with

Got my 251 Octavia Combi from stock in Spirit Skoda Dublin, it started developing rattling sounds around steering column after about 9 months. Booked it in for standard service locally in F. Hogan in November asked to look at it and being told that it will have to be separate date for those sounds, the nightmare started. After 4 weeks waiting got it in December, being told that was a faulty clockspring and that it was reset and everything is good. Sounds came back after 20km driving. Rang again and being told next available appointment is in February. In February on the day I heard more fairytales about new steering column fitted from Alex in reception, never left the dealership heard those sounds again on which I was told to go back to Spirit. While checking the car myself after visits to F. Hogan was in shock by what I found - metal clip missing, rubber seal not fitted back as it should and hanging down under the bonnet and sponge ("insulation") stuffed under steering column to try dampen those sounds and get rid of me (pictured). HORRIBLE place, Cowboy style service!!! Had to seek assistance of Skoda Ireland and was advised by them to contact Mary in F. Hogan to book the car for assessment. Reached Mary and being told straight forward "we aren't getting paid by Skoda Ireland because we cannot find the problem, we just can't" and to go to Spirit. Which I did and all my problems and 5 months of stress ended. Car was taken in stripped, loose part identified and fixed while I was driving 261 courtesy car. 600km driving after visit to Spirit - peace & quiet. Even my employer who's the Councillor in County Limerick warned me to stay away from F. Hogan that they are absolutely USELESS. Will never have anything to do with that bunch ever nor anyone I know. My friend was looking to buy new Tiguan R, sent him to Pierse in Tipp. He's very happy with the service there.

Very helpful & friendly. Got us back on the road when we were stranded on holiday. I would recommend them and if they were local to us we would certainly be back to use their services.

Excellent service as usual being going to truck car sales for a number of years now to have my car serviced and have never had a bad experience.

We recently had one of our vans serviced at Truckcar Sales, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. We unfortunately missed our scheduled appointment time, but the team was incredibly accommodating and still took us in without any issues. It’s not often you come across a business that’s both flexible and professional, and Truckcar Sales certainly delivered on both.
They went above and beyond to make sure the van was serviced in a timely manner.
If you're looking for reliable service and a team that truly cares about their customers, I highly recommend Truckcar Sales.

Had my cvrt done recently, v good service, highly recommended

I am going to echo Tom Gardener's review from a year ago.
Nothing has changed and I bitterly regret not having seen it sooner.
Not only should Mercedes take a closer look at this company, the RSA should also be checking their eligibility to be listed as authorised tachograph installers.
My experience has a similar ring to the review mentioned.
I booked in a German import Mercedes Actros for a compulsory tachograph retrofit.
The vehicle has been maintained by Mercedes from new and I naively thought that booking into an authorised dealer would be the best option.
No!!! Huge mistake, this experience has been exactly the opposite, I'll never go near them again.
My job card was really simple, Fit the latest version Tachograph.

This is a mandatory and costly job, so I wanted to make the most of this one time opportunity and get the latest device together with the latest functionality.

Neither goals have been achieved.

When I arrived back at Truckcar at 4:30 pm to collect my vehicle, I was told it had no coolant because of a leaking pipe and the Tachograph install wasn't finished.
They'd had the vehicle since 8:30 am, no phone calls nothing, just a load of BS about a slow leak and corroded sender that took all day to remove.
When I asked to take look , my sleeper cab door was wide open and the neighbouring vehicle was having rust ground off the brakes.
There was zero evidence of a leak, just a snapped off pipe.
To say I was despondent is an understatement, then I had to go and find a hotel.

The next day I arrived and went to the workshop and stayed with the vehicle until the Tachograph install and calibration were complete. I cancelled the service as all trust had evaporated.

The following day, I tried to connect my phone to the Tachograph and take advantage of the new features after the abysmal experience getting it fitted, when I discovered it wasn't over. My phone wouldn't connect because of outdated firmware.

I then discovered the Tachograph fitted was a previous model and Truckcar had no idea how to update the firmware.
I was asked to wait for the Manager's return, so he could contact me with a resolution, I'm still waiting.
Update, I've since spoken with the manager of Truckcar, he didn't understand why I was dissatisfied with outdated software on a newly installed device and more importantly, they don't appear to have the knowledge or equipment to carry out this task.
I was repeatedly told how well trained and equipped their technicians are, but not offered an appointment to update my Tachograph.
