The BMW Eastgate facility is the newest addition to the Kearys family. It's a duly dedicated, standalone outlet, spanning a vast 4 acres, with triple the customer parking of our last BMW showroom, a relaxing customer caf&eacute; with complimentary taxis and Internet Access, and a first for Ireland, servicing from Monday throughout to Saturday evening. Everything at our Eastgate location has been designed to fit in with the ethos - customer first.

We just got our X1, the overall sevice is exceptional. David Dumitru went above and beyond and made the process very smooth and easy. I highly recommend this garage and David definitely worth a raise too. He is exceptional and extremely helpful throughout the process. Thank you so much for all your help.

Not a review in relation to the dealership itself but one of the employees, when a check engine light came on we were unsure how to top it up to a correct level and happen to see an employee named Timmy in his work top and decided to ask him for help. He didn’t hesitate for a second even though he was on his way home from work, explained what he was doing and showed us how to do it incase it happened again in the future. Even though it was a Skoda Timmy helped us out. He is an absolute credit to the company.

Will not own up to damage caused by their staff

I dropped  my car in for a €2,000 repair on damage caused to the front bumper by another driver in a car park. I then had my car given back to me on Feb 13th with the driver's wing mirror completely broken. It was swinging freely on the housing, no electrics working and part of it patched with black tape. Also lots of paint chipped off the A-pillar and a series of small dents above the drivers door. It looked like it had been in some sort of accident while in for repairs. This was all pointed out to the service manager before I left with the car, who told me to 'enjoy it for the weekend' and that he would email me the following Monday (this was a Friday). I heard nothing for two weeks, every time I rang or emailed I was being fobbed off by the service advisors who told the service manager Craig was 'in a meeting' or was 'in the process' of writing me an email. On one occasion I walked into the building, watched him walk behind the service counter and was told by the service advisor, Lauren, that he was not in the building. It took me making a formal complaint to BMW Ireland before Craig would agree to fix the damage on Feb 26th. He remained adamant that his staff had not caused the damage, even though they were the only ones with access to the car in the time between me dropping it in and me collecting it. He also refused to let me see CCTV footage of the car park to prove I had dropped it in in working order.

I then had to drive with the broken mirror for three more weeks before the car was booked in for repairs. When I collected the car on March 25th following replacement of the broken mirror, I was told they had replaced it 'as a gesture of good will' (it is not good will if you are fixing damage you have caused) and that they would not fix the paintwork/dents which were also inflicted on the car while it was with them. Craig said he had never agreed to fix the paintwork, and denied any responsibility for the damage to the mirror or rest of the car. None of this was communicated to me before I dropped the car in, I was left to drop it in under the impression that it would all be fixed.

I decided initially to get the repairs done with Keary's as I expected a dealership would not do a botched job. You would be better off sparing yourself the grief and expense and going to any other body repair shop.

If you make any agreements with this dealership, make sure you get everything in writing, as they will absolutely go back on their word if it saves them money. From reading other reviews, I am clearly not the only person they have done something like this to. An absolute disgrace of a dealership

Very bad experience at Kearys BMW Cork. With premium rates, should come a premium quality service but unfortunately not at Kearys.

1). Poor timekeeping, lack of respect for customer's time. I've booked a so-called "major" service which included; engine oil & filter, microfilter, air filter, brake fluid and vehicle health check many weeks in advance. I've booked it for the morning, just after 9am and that's when I dropped off the car after driving for over an hour. They haven't sent me a health check video with a summary until 15:38pm when I already came back hoping the car would be ready. The engine oil wasn't even touched meaning that everything later is rushed! The car wasn't touched before that at all! Only after I asked at the reception, they said the car shouldn't be much longer and probably an hour should suffice now. So I waited and waited, asked again after an hour and still no sign of the car. It's an absolute joke. I've been told again that the car won't be too long. Overall I've waited till just about their closing time, approx 6 pm that day. If someone books a service at 9 am, the car should be taken promptly when keys are dropped off to the reception, do what is to be done and return the car in mint condition like it was.

2). Staff does not know how to enter and exit a vehicle while servicing it without leaving dirty black marks all over the beige elements of the car, ceiling, sides, etc. Basically everywhere around the driver's cockpit area. Extremely annoying and unprofessional, I would expect a lot more from a BMW main dealership. Same thing happened a year ago when again I brought the car to Kearys. Back then they left small black marks on the ceiling of the car above the driver's headroom in two areas, whereas this time, they left big smudges around where the seat belt is, to the side of it and also the sun shade. If you can't clean a car properly just don't do it at all, but don't add extra dirt which is very hard to take out.

3). Managers not taking ownership of problems or even making that call back which was promised to me. Only 13 days after the service I had a problem which I have now found out from another garage to be an amplifier booster fault in the car. I rang Kearys and was told that this would not be included with my service package which is still valid till January 2026 and that running diagnostics would cost 250 euros not including the cost of the part or for it to be fitted which is further 2k+ euros. It was disappointing to me that the first reaction to my problem was to let me know how much it would cost to even take a look at the car, before finding the cause. The cause was identified already in a big reputable garage, I understand it wasn't one of the BMW dealers but it wasn't even 2 weeks since the car left Kearys and a fault with serious cost showed up. Kearys should have dealt differently here. I asked to speak with a manager and was promised a call back as soon as one is available that day. It's been over 2 weeks and nobody contacted me. To say that I am disappointed would be a big understatement.

Low ball of a figure I received for my low mileage, first owner from new, 5 series with 5 years service BMW Approved. Last year, when waiting at Kearys for my car to be serviced, I approached the sales team, got to test drive a car and I remember, the sales member promised me a call back the following day or two and that never happened. A customer should not have to chase a garage to ring them back with prices. The only thing that was okay during my very last visit at Kearys was that this time a different salesman that was dealing with me, did in fact ring me back with figures. Overall Kearys deserves 0/10. I waited for a long time and got no call back. It's very disrespectful and unprofessional. It's a shame. Before you decide to choose Kearys I would suggest you do your due diligence, read other reviews and I would highly recommend going somewhere else, even if it means more of a drive, go somewhere where your business will be truly valued.
