We bought two second hand Volkswagen caddy vans last month. Barrie dealt with us and it has been a real pleasure from start to finish. The quality of the vans was exceptional too. I would highly recommend Blackwater Motors to anyone!

I am extremely disappointed with the poor communication and lack of professionalism I experienced at this garage while purchasing a car. I had high hopes following an initial meeting that the process would be positive, sadly this was not the case I found the experience frustrating and disorganised. After agreeing to purchase a new car, I was shocked to learn that the garage had sold it to someone else without any notification, forcing me to wait an additional three months for a replacement to arrive from Germany. At no point did the salesperson acknowledge this or offer an apology for the significant inconvenience caused.  Had I been made aware I may have requested a different colour or spec..

Throughout the process, communication was virtually nonexistent. I had to chase for updates, and when I did receive information, it was inconsistent. The handling of paperwork was similarly unprofessional, with delays and a lack of attention to detail that made the entire experience unnecessarily stressful.

To make matters worse, when I finally collected the car, there was no sign of goodwill or recognition of their poor service—not even a full tank of diesel as a small gesture of apology on the day. In an earlier conversation the sales manager did mention the garage would pay the first years road tax but on handover this could not be confirmed. Given the level of inconvenience I faced, this felt like a final confirmation of their lack of care for customer satisfaction.

Based on my experience I am very sorry to say I would not recommend this garage to anyone looking for a professional and reliable car-buying experience.

Pboned them to book first service for my car. Agreed on the date etc. Arrived on a day just to be informed that you not getting a courtesy car like in other dealerships (Mazda, BYD). To get courtesy car here you need to book 6 weeks in advance! I wonder why it was so hard to communicate that during a call when I was booking a service? Basically a day wasted as I took a day off work for this.
Also 260e for service of EV is a bit steep.
I ended up cancelling service on tbe spot and will be making alternative arrangements.

I got service & reported a radio fault & still Waiting 10 weeks for a radio part under warranty. I was Not called once & last time my husband rang 4 weeks ago 27th March to check he was told it was ordered. Terrible after service sorry I bothered buying from them should have stayed with Newmarket motors who always have been my  VW dealer or Lissarda are another VW but this dealership is not good
